Daydreaming of Alaska
Friday, February 26, 2010 This week, I've been doing a lot of writing on this fascinating topic in Alaska, so my mind has been in the last frontier since Tuesday.
Alaska is the one state in America that I have never been been to. Our good friends went there for a vacation in 2006. They bundled up in parkas, went on hikes, observed wild moose and slept in rustic cabins. They even drank martinis in glasses made from solid ice. I think I'd want to dine on fresh-caught wild salmon and photograph snowy owls. Oh, and go dog sledding, of course.

That is also one of my dream place to go to.
Have a great weekend!
You really do need to go to Alaska. Put it at the top of your travel "to-do" list. The place is unreal. Everything is larger than life, and everywhere you go feels like something off the Discovery Channel. The scenery is gorgeous, the wildlife is everywhere and it's just incredible. My family goes on a fishing trip near Glacier Bay every August, check out some pictures here:
