Sunset + Planets

Has anyone else looked for Venus & Mercury in the western horizon? Last Saturday we packed up our binoculars, chairs and cameras and went to Fort DeSoto Beach on a rare planet hunt.

Venus was visible after sunset...

Mercury was slightly lower on the horizon than Venus, and toward the right. But unfortunately my camera was not strong enough to capture the small glimmer of this planet. Check out some stunning photography of Mercury here

Love those sunset shots. Sunsets paired with the beach are gorgeous, but Sunsets with the Beach AND planets is UNBEATABLE!
