This has been one of the rare weeks when I've had plans every single night. Phew! I'm exhausted this morning, but it's been really fun....
Symphony Space... dinner in Harlem with my brother... My Write Nite group met at a great new spot, Joe the Art of Coffee in SoHo (my friend Ghenet recently posted about our usual writing cafes.)
On Wednesday night I attended a private Maclaren press event and got to preview their 2012 collection/best-selling baby products. Highlights included learning about the brand-new, reclining, lightweight Globetrotter stroller and checking out premium designs (like Dylan's Candy Bar) that have a limited production run. I especially liked the new liner designs – there's a cute, sketch-inspired cityscape theme – and the umbrella sun shade (more on this later.)
Last night I went to the Pint Size Social holiday party at the swanky Giles Hotel with a girlfriend (who is also pregnant!). We loved wandering around, talking with the vendors, learning about all the products – I hope it was a successful & fun event for all who attended. Some of my favorite things were the STOKKE Xplory Stroller and Trip Trapp High Chair, the Plain Mary monogrammed play mats, Keri Starker pyrite earrings, all the Fresh fragrances, and the Tegu magnetic wooden blocks. Baby K has quite the collection of gear already! I will definitely be marking my calendar for the next Pint Size Social party. Great job to the planners (and thanks for the amazing gift bag!).
So.... today. My main agenda is tackling conference calls, organizing and outlining, and writing rough drafts. I need to get back into NaNoWriMo (I'm about 10,000 words behind.) There might be an epic nap scheduled in at some point (it's hard to believe that my third trimester begins NEXT WEEK!)
