Weekend in the Woods
Monday, March 7, 2011
I'm out in the woods for a few days with our pups. The sunshine was glorious today – we ran around the pasture, stretching our legs, enjoying the fresh air.
Recently I've been getting a lot of random emails asking about my life, so in case you're interested, here's a few tidbits.....
Inspired by one of my besties Lesley and the film Food, Inc, I've been working on transforming my health.
I busted out my old Lithuanian language-learning cassette tapes (CASSETTES. Try finding a cassette player these days. I went to three stores!). My family is Lithuanian (and it's my father's first language), and I'm contemplating visiting the homeland soon.
My SCBWI writing workshop group is a major life highlight. I can't tell you how much I look forward to our weekly Write Nites and manuscript critique sessions. For the first time in awhile, I feel motivated and excited about how my children's book manuscript is coming along. Next week I'll be attending these events in NYC. In other writing news, I love this creative How to Get Published flow chart.
And yes, some exciting trips are in the works, but nothing I can share yet!

I saw the "how to get published" chart you posted on twitter and it was hilarious! And true. And how cool that you're learning Lithuanian!
(Also, I have an every-other-week writing group, and I cherish it).
