Programming Languages Class
Wednesday, July 27, 2011 This year I challenged myself to learn some new things. Random stuff, helpful skills, whatever. So yesterday I took a two-hour class on computer programming languages at Brooklyn Brainery...
We learned about the different types of programming languages (like Ruby and Java) and mark-up languages (CSS, HTML5, etc), compiled versus interpretive languages, and all sorts of things like strings, arrays, duck typing, float control and more. It was fascinating and complex and inspiring and made me feel a whole lot smarter. So I'm already signed up for two more classes in August, and they couldn't be more random subjects, just the way I like my learning! And after I get back from some traveling this fall, I've got my eye on these courses at MAKE. Now which one to choose...
Have you taken any interesting classes lately? I'd love to hear!

Both places sound really cool! Thanks for sharing the link to Make. I'd love to learn to knit someday. :)
Ghenet, I want to learn to knit too! I need something to occupy me this upcoming winter ;) let me know if you end up taking a class. I'm looking into October dates in case you want to join me!
