Hello from Los Angeles

Well, I arrived safe and sound in Los Angeles for the annual summer SCBWI conference! It's been a busy day of travel and networking already... I sat next to this lovely industry professional on the plane, and then joined her and a friend for lunch here (when in California!).... I bumped into Jay during check-in, caught up with an old SCBWI friend Bret, hung out with one of my NYC critique partners Michael, and made a few new friends during cocktail hour in the hotel lobby. The next four days are going to be a whirlwind of workshops and keynote speeches, so if you're interested in following some of the conference highlights, here's my Twitter feed.
