STOKKE Stroller Set-Up

As mentioned in previous posts, I'll be doing lots of baby product reviews this winter and spring. So we were pretty excited when our first stroller – the Stokke Xplory – arrived in the mail. We purchased the Stokke Sleepi crib and changing table for our nursery nook (bought from here), so we've been big fans of the brand for quite awhile. Penguins & Sharks

The last two months have been incredibly busy on the work front, and two of my recent writing projects are now live on the National Geographic Channel's website. Writing News: I'm a Curator!

Here's some exciting news I've been waiting to share: I'm now a Curator for Wanderfly! (You might remember the video I did a few months back for this awesome travel website.) Wanderfly has been getting a lot of media buzz this last year (it's been named a top start-up by TIME Inc and Entrepeneur Magazine), and the company *just* landed a huge partnership with the New York Times. Awesome stuff!

So what's this Curator gig mean? I'll be a regular contributor for the company, sharing inspirational stories, travel tips, photographs, videos & more. It's a developing opportunity that will surely stretch my writing & photography skills in new ways. I'm really looking forward to this new challenge!

Blog Award Finalist

I have no idea how this happened, but I found out yesterday that my blog is a finalist for The Best Designed Travel Blog in this year's Travel Bloggy Awards. So, thank you to whoever nominated me for the award! My little website is up against lots of big contenders. But who doesn't like an underdog, right? The winner is announced on August 26th at the 2011 Travel Bloggers Unite conference in Innsbruck, Austria. So, I'm not getting my hopes up, but I could really use some new luggage! And losers don't get luggage.

I am obsessed with my Pandora Radio channels. Have you heard the Summer Hits of the 90s Mix? It's amazing. Bruce Hornsby, yes please! And in my opinion, it's totally worth paying the Pandora One upgrade to nix the advertisments. What are you listening to these days? I'm always in need of new writing music (I can only listen to the Amelie and Marie Antionette soundtracks so many times).
