I don't usually participate in photo challenges on Instagram, but my friends over at the YA Buccaneers orchestrated a #12DaysOfBooks photo-sharing event, and I couldn't pass it up! Here's me and my son attempting a book beard for day one :) Link over to YA Buccaneers to learn the challenge for each day and join in on the fun! And if you want, you can follow me on Instagram here.
My city view today as I work for a client & attempt to add 800 words to my new book...
Typing away back in New York City... Chipping away at this book, slowly, slowly.
We continued our Thanksgiving Day tradition and went to the Macy's Parade this morning... Cold and fun, per usual. We have family visiting from out of town, and everyone really enjoyed the experience! Happy Thanksgiving from ours to yours, wishing you the loveliest of holiday weekends. xo
I've been keeping a secret – We bought a house! All those trips to Connecticut? Yeah, we were totally scoping things out. I'll share more on our relocation from the city to the woods soon, but for now, we're celebrating. Hooray!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! If you'll be spending time with an 8-12 yo this week, this is the PERFECT holiday to start reading (or catch up on...) my middle grade book SOME PIG THE CITY, created exclusively for Storybird as part of their Creative Partners Program (CPP). In Chapter 1 of the SOME PIG IN THE CITY, 11-year-old Josie's brother brings a runt piglet (Hamlet) home from college on Thanksgiving Day!
Thanks so much for the support & I'd love to hear your thoughts & comments over at Storybird. Be sure to check out the Author's Notebook too for behind-the-scenes info on creating the book and working with illustrator Katy Betz! And stay tuned, because I have some exciting news to share soon :)
Boys in the woods :)
